Athlete Plus 16FVG Monster Edition

"From the Athlete+ series comes the Monster Edition, a model purpose-built for targeting trophy-class fish. Designed specifically for big fish lurking in vast surf zones and river mouths, this lure puts monster targets within range. Its large-diameter tungsten moving-weight system enhances long-distance casting performance, while the lip equipped with a vortex generator ensures a stable flight posture even in headwinds. This allows anglers to cast effortlessly to offshore break lines and current seams. The lure action changes according to retrieve speed: At ultra-low speed, it produces a slow, wobbling water-pushing action. At low speed, it transitions into a “wobbling roll” with added roll action. From medium speed onward, it shifts into a stable rolling action. In addition to this variable action, the flat-sided body generates strong water displacement and flashing, stimulating the predator’s instinct to strike. The lure intentionally does not use a through-wire construction. This is to avoid fixing the center of gravity with the added weight of the wire, allowing the action during slow retrieves—essential for tempting big fish—to take priority. Even without through-wire construction, the eye rings and overall body strength have been thoroughly redesigned to withstand violent fights with monster fish, ensuring excellent durability. It comes equipped with BKK Fangs-63UA hooks, providing reliability even under the harshest conditions. A trusted lure built to target unknown giants across vast open water— that is the Monster Edition."
